The greenfield plant with a capacity of 90 tons of chlorine per day will be built in the Hazarasp Free Economic Zone in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The two-year contract which ends August 2022, will also provide its services for a 26mw/h steam turbine independent power plant.

The complete chlorine plant is prefabricated in modules which only need to be set up and connected to each other on site. With this approach, project risks and duration can be reduced significantly. The high energy efficiency of the electrolysis cells results in a light ecological footprint, and the process is based on a close to zero emissions design.

Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad, a global integrated engineering services provider, through its wholly owned subsidiary Serba Dinamik International LTD (SDIL) will engage thyssenkrupp UHDE Chlorine Engineers (tkUCEI) as project technology provider for the plant.
