KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 — Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad through its Serba Care Team has donated RM500,000 to people from all walks of life such as the B40 group, orphans, single mothers, senior citizens, the homeless as well as frontliners throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.
Serba Care Team chairman Syaiful Radzman Osman said the initiative was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
It also included the distribution of more than 4,000 food packs for break fast nationwide and 2,000 food baskets and essential items to the homeless in seven areas under the jurisdiction of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), he added.
Syaiful Radzman said RM1,000 was also donated to asnaf (tithe recipients) families living in six locations where the company’s branch oces are located to ease their burden during the fasting month.
“Through this programme, we take the initiative to share our blessings and celebrate the arrival of Ramadan,” he said in a statement today, adding it was the best way for the company to express their gratitude to DBKL and reach out to the community in Malaysia.
Syaiful Radzman said Serba Care Team also hosted breaking fast events, tarawih prayers and motivational sessions at more than 10 shelters throughout Malaysia, in collaboration with Serba Dinamik’s subsidiaries including Halal2go, ESPC, Easybuybye as well as SD Impex Sdn Bhd (SDI) subsidiaries such as Asian Taste, AT Mart and JM Bariani.
