KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd’s net profit soared to record high for the fourth quarter of financial year 2018 (4QFY18) ended Dec 31, 2018 thanks to an increase in activities in the operation and maintenance (O&M) segment.

The group’s net profit climbed 39% to RM109.29 million from RM78.57 million. Revenue grew 21.21% to RM978 million from RM806.87 million, its Bursa Malaysia filing showed.

It declared a fourth interim single-tier dividend of 2.3 sen per share, payable on March 28.

Moving into 2019, the company is expecting to strengthen its position in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Central Asia regions, which have contributed to the company’s earnings for the past years.

“With the penetration into Laos, more contribution is expected from Southeast Asia in 2019,” said Serba Dinamik.

The group is also expecting more contributions from Tanzania in Africa and Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia, following its expansion there last year.

Overall, the management is optimistic about the group’s prospects and is of the view that the group will continue to generate positive results in the future, said Serba Dinamik.
