KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd is allocating about RM30 million to enhance and execute its existing information technology (IT) projects next year.
Group Managing Director/ Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said the projects are located in several parts of the world and will be executed in collaboration with eNoah iSolution India Pvt Ltd (eNoah).
To this end, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Serba Dinamik IT Solutions Sdn Bhd, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 30 per cent stake in eNoah for US$3.6 million (US$1=RM4.15) in cash.
Speaking to reporters after signing the share purchase agreement here today, Mohd Abdul Karim said the collaboration would enable the company to access state-of-the-art technology in the global market and the opportunity to venture into the Indian market as well as to further strengthen the company’s market share in the region.
“We see room for improvement in this segment, especially with IT being the catalyst for changing lifestyles in the future.
“While our group remains focused on engineering services, we also foresee potential growth for our IT division,” he said.
Mohd Abdul Karim said the acquisition was expected to boost Serba Dinamik’s IT segment’s contribution to the company’s annual revenue to 2.5 per cent from the current 1.0 per cent.
