KUALA LUMPUR: Electronic Security and Privacy Channel (ESPC), a portal under Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd’s cybersecurity services subsidiary, has satisfied all requirements to be part of a United Kingdom (UK)-based awarding organisation regulated by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
In a statement today, the group said it had acquired awarding organisation OTHM’s accreditation for Certified Cybersecurity Leadership Professional (CCLP) and Certifies Data Protection Officer (CDPO) courses. At the same time , ESPC is also working closely with University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UNIMY) to provide a seamless PhD pathway for those who aspire to excel in both the industry and the academic world without leaving their workplace.
The CCLP course is at OTHM Level 7, equivalent to UK industry master’s degree, while the CDPO course is at OTHM Leve 5, equivalent to UK industry bachelor’s degree.
Serba Dinamik Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Dr. Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said this bridging programme is led by Prof Col(R) Datuk Dr. Husin Jazri, senior vice president of Serba Dinamik Cybersecurity and a known figure in cybersecurity industry.
Mohd Abdul Karim said as cybersecurity becomes a key industry with the acceleration of the 4th Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) and the digital economy, more professionals would be required.
“This bridging is perfect for helping meet the demands of the cybersecurity industry in Malaysia and globally,” he noted.
