KUALA LUMPUR, 2 June 2021 – We refer to the announcement made on 28 May 2021 stated that YBhg. Datuk Haji Abdul Kadier Sahib, who is also the Non-Independent Non-Executive Director, had via his Special Notice dated 28 May 2021 (“Special Notice”) requested for the Company to convene an extraordinary general meeting pursuant to Section 311 of the Companies Act 2016 to propose for the Removal of Auditors and Appointment of New Auditors.
The Company had announced today that it has received a notice from YBhg. Datuk Haji Abdul Kadier Sahib to withdraw the Special Notice for the termination of auditors, KPMG PLT (“KPMG”) and the proposed nomination of BDO PLT as the new auditors, after due consideration, based on concerns raised by the shareholders and stakeholders that have been supporting the Group.
YBhg. Datuk Haji Abdul Kadier Sahib is looking forward for the Management and KPMG to arrange for engagement session to enable both parties to achieve amicable solution to the raised matters.
